- Dennis Spivack
Dennis Spivack (born 1947) is an American
lawyer andpolitician from New Castle County,Delaware , near Wilmington. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and was its candidate for U.S. Representative from Delaware in the Delaware congressional election in 2006. In that election he was defeated by incumbent U.S. RepresentativeMichael N. Castle .Early life and family
Spivack graduated from the
University of Pennsylvania in 1969 with a degree inpolitical science . In 1971, he married Marcia Bregman, also of Wilmington. They have two grown daughters. In 1975, he completed a law degree from theUniversity of Michigan Law School . Spivack first served in the Delaware Attorney General's office as a Deputy Attorney General, and is currently a senior member of the law firm Morris James in Wilmington, where he focuses onreal estate law. He has represented the Delaware State Housing Authority, and has served on several committees for the betterment of theBrandywine School District .Election results
