*She was one of the 11 survivors of the plane crash. She, Ian, and Jory joined Captain Russell in their search through the island for other life, but she came back alone twice.

*She came back alone and dehydrated. and her gear was lost and her clothes were torn apart. Abby was eventually rescued by the seven survivors who were left behind at the campsite, but later returned to look for the others.

*After unsuccessfully finding the others, she returned in the episode "Good Luck Abby".
