Lloyd Blackman

Lloyd Blackman

Lloyd Blackman (born September 24, 1983) is an English footballer who currently plays for Isthmian League Premier Division side Maidstone United. He is known for his pace and crossing ability and began his career as a YTS trainee at Brentford in 2002. He failed to break into Brentford's first team and, after an unsuccessful trial with Crystal Palace, moved to Farnborough on a free transfer in 2004. There he enjoyed first-team football and managed 5 goals.

In the summer of 2005 Blackman signed for Woking. In the 2005/06 season he made 35 appearances for the club (most of these were as a substitute) and scored twice.

After an unimpressive season in which he found himself mainly confined to bench duty, Woking decided against renewing Blackman's contract and the player was released in the summer of 2006. After a year at Crawley Town, he signed for Welling United in July 2007. Blackman signed for current club Maidstone in the summer of 2008 after a successful trial.
