suburb of the city of Kochi,India . Before merger with the corporation of Kochi, Vaduthala was a municipality under the Government ofKerala . A zonal office of theCorporation of Cochin operates here. Vaduthala is blessed with a line of backwaters, kissing its side, all along its length. This beautiful stretch is one of the most peaceful places in Cochin city and also a source of livelihood for a number of fishermen living here. Sadly, there are plans to fill up a huge area of these backwaters for the construction of new roads and also for revenue generation for the Corporation of Cochin.

The proposed Railway line connecting the International Shipping terminal to Airport will be passing through vaduthala.Vaduthala is also famous for the well maintenance of roads. Roads resembles runways.Only problem is that , there will be ponds at a regular interval.
