Adam Whitehead

Adam Whitehead

Adam Whitehead (born March 28, 1980) is a former breaststroke swimmer from Great Britain, who competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. There he was eliminated in the qualifying heats of the men's 100 m and 200 m Breaststroke.

Whitehead was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. A member of the swimming club City of Coventry, he won the gold medal in the 200 m breaststroke at the European SC Championships 1998 in Sheffield. He twice competed at the Commonwealth Games, in 1998 and 2002, and won a total number of four medals at those championships (one gold, two silvers and bronze). His last competitive race was at the 2006 Speedo League Final, where he came first in the 100 m breaststroke.

Whitehead attended Coventry Blue Coat Church of England School.
