Summary

The Ninja is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri. The ride features a loop, a sidewinder, and a double corkscrew. It was originally started by Arrow. When Arrow fell into bankruptcy it was sold to Vekoma who finished it. It was originally located at Expo '86 in Vancouver, B.C. as The Scream Machine.

Description of Ride

The ride starts with a drop and a 180 degree turn to the left, up a chain lift, then a banked turn with a 80 foot drop and a vertical loop, a sidewinder, and into the brake run. Following the brake run there are two spiraling corkscrews at about 54.7 mph, and a high-speed Helix. There are two blocks, which stops on the first block if the ride with running with 3 trains and a train is at the station. Many people report small bruises due to the amount of sharp twists and turns, but the ride still runs as normal. Located next to it, is the Mine Train ride.

Color

Ninja was usually painted red with white supports, and the trains were painted white and the stripes were red, and the shoulder harnesses were orange. The color has been slightly modified in 1998; now the track is black with red trains and white stripes, but the harnesses remain true.

Restraints

Ninja's restraint's handles are covered with foam instead of metal, like other Arrow trains. Also, there are no safety straps which connected. The only example with that, built by Arrow Dynamics is Corkscrew.

Ridership

Sometimes, the line is short due to some small bruises on the safety harnesses. But sometimes, the ride has very high ridership due to the amount of guests in the park.
