- Perry R. Cook
Perry R. Cook (born 1955) is an American
computer music researcher and professor ofcomputer science andmusic atPrinceton University . He is also the head of thePrinceton Sound Lab .Perry Cook has helped to significantly advance the areas of
physical modeling , singing voice synthesis, principles of computer music controller design, and also works extensively withaudio analysis and real-timecomputer music programming languages and systems. He (and later withGary Scavone ) authored theSynthesis Toolkit (STK), and withGe Wang , authored theChucK programming language. He is also a co-founder, withDan Trueman , of the Princeton Laptop Orchestra (PLOrk ). Professor Cook was an invited keynote speaker atNIME -07, held in New York City, in June, 2007.External links
