The Laden Showroom

The Laden Showroom

The Laden Showroom is widely considered as London's leading showroom and store that promotes and supports young and independent fashion designers. Time Out Magazine describes the shop as "a font of experimental design" while the London Evening Standard calls it a "cult store". Easyjet describes the store as "a veritable magnet for keen-eyed fashionistas" in its May 2008 inflight magazine, recommending The Laden Showroom to London visitors.

Established in 1999 by sister and brother team, Adele and Barry Laden, the model for The Laden Showroom is founded on social entrepreneurial principles, where designers rent low-cost space to display and sell their products without being tied to contract.

Described in Vogue.com as a "bijou boutique", The Laden Showroom has been featured on television and in many newspapers and magazines in the UK and across the world.

Located at 103 Brick Lane, London, The Laden Showroom is open every day of the week and features over 55 designers occupying varying sized units.

The Laden Showroom was a finalist in the London Evening Standard O2 Inspiration Award for Business, announced 25th January 2007.

On August 6th 2007, in a link-up with ASOS.com, the UK's leading online fashion store, a selection of designers became available exclusively through the online boutique of Independent Designers and The Laden Showroom is now one of the leading brands on Asos.com.

Superbrands has announced that The Laden Showroom has been awarded CoolBrands status for 2008-09.

Celebrities who have worn clothes from designers at The Laden Showroom include: Victoria Beckham, Sienna Miller, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Gail Porter, Helen McCrory, Liza Tarbuck, Pete Doherty, Jarvis Cocker, Noel Gallagher, Gisele Bündchen and Romeo Gigli. Dizzee Rascal was spotted shopping for his girlfriend in September 2008.
