The Grand Master of the
There have been three Grand Masters since the order was founded in 1917. These are:
*Prince Edward, Prince of Wales (1917–1936) (King Edward VIII)
*Queen Mary (1936–1953)
*HRH The Duke of Edinburgh (1953–present).
