- Super Summer
Super Summer is a youth evangelism and leadership camp that is associated with the
Baptist General Convention of Texas . It is usually for youth graduating from 7th grade to 12th grade. It is usually held on a Christian college/university campus of the state that the campers are from. There are camps in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Montana, Missouri, Illinois, Mississippi, and Indiana.Super Summer Oklahoma, while one of the smaller super summer camps, has a reputation for excellence and training and sending high school students after God's heart. Super Summer Oklahoma is led by director Cris Lowery and an executive staff made up of pastors and youth pastors from all over the state. Super Summer Oklahoma is hosted at
Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) and consists of 3 weeks, usually the first 3 full weeks in June, known simply as Week One,Week Two ,and Week Three. Super Summer Oklahoma is divided by grade based on color schools. Red means the student is going into 8th grade, Blue-9th, Orange-10th, Yellow-11th, Green-12th, Silver-Post grad year. There is also a Purple school, which is specifically for those called into ministry, and students can attend Purple school anytime after Yellow school if they've been called to ministry. The average cost of attending Super Summer varies from church to church as each church usually supplements the cost at various amounts.Walter Nusbaum is a recurring speaker at Super Summer Oklahoma and had extensive knowledge of the Bible. He is known for his open question time with the students.
