Below are the highest-selling albums in the week of their release selling over 200,000.
* NOTE: "Be Here Now" was released on a Thursday (August 21, 1997) which is three days "after" the traditional record release date (Monday) in the UK. "Be Here Now" sold nearly 700,000 copies in three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and went to No.1 on the chart on Sunday.
* ** Fastest selling debut album of all time.
* *** "Viva La Vida" was released on a Thursday (June 12, 2008) which like "Be Here Now" only gave it three days worth of sales before it charted compared to a week for the rest of the chart. The album sold 302 074 copies in three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) entering the UK Albums Chart at No.1 on Sunday.
