Shangri-La Dialogue

Shangri-La Dialogue

The Shangri-La Dialogue is an annual meeting of Defense Ministers. The meeting gets its name from the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore where the meeting is held.

The Shangri-La Dialogue has been held since 2002, with the 6th meeting on 1 June 2007. The meeting is organized by a think-tank the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

The participants have included Australia, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Canada, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, People's Republic of China, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, East Timor, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.
