Route
Greensborough Highway runs from .
Greensborough Freeway
The route was originally designated in the
1969 Melbourne Transportation Plan as the F18 Freeway, extending further than Diamond Creek Road to finish at Ryans Road, Diamond Creek, and at the southern end extending past Lower Plenty Rd to link up with theEastern Freeway between Bullen Road and Burke Road, via the Banyule Flats Reserve. However, no announcement has been made to link theMetropolitan Ring Road to theEastern Freeway as yet.In "
Transurban 's Response to the Eddington Report", July 2008 [http://210.15.220.118/ewlna_submissions/EastWestResponse_150708_Transurban.pdf] , a route worth considering is a connection from theEastern Freeway at Bulleen Road to theGreensborough Highway , either as a tunnel or a protected elevated roadway and/or an orbital connection toEastLink via the proposedHealesville Freeway corridor.See also
