Phil Cousineau (born in 1952) is an author, lecturer, independent scholar, screenwriter, and documentary filmmaker.
Career
Cousineau was born in
Columbia, South Carolina . He studied journalism at theUniversity of Detroit . He has worked as a sportswriter and taught screenwriting at theAmerican Film Institute .Joseph Campbell was a mentor and major influence, Cousineau wrote the documentary film about Campbell's life,The Hero's Journey .
