"Austere" is the first release by the band Sparta, just one year after break-up of their former band At the Drive-In.

Note

All of these songs were re-recorded for Sparta's debut album Wiretap Scars, however Vacant Skies only appeared on the UK version of the album, as a bonus track. It was recorded at Rosewood Studios in El Paso, Texas by Mike Major.
