- Hatzerim Airbase
is an
airbase of theIsraeli Air Force located in theNegev Desert on the western outskirts ofBeersheba , near Kibbutz Hatzerim. The base was constructed during the early 1960s and was operational as of3 October 1966 . Hatzerim is also the location of theIsraeli Air Force Museum , which opened its doors in 1977 and has allowed public access since June 1991. The IAF Flight Academy has been housed at Hatzerim since April 1966 and theIsraeli Acrobatic Team is located there as well.Units
