William Watson Elementary is a public elementary school in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, serving students from kindergarten to Grade 7. The school, which first opened in 1958, is part of School District 36 Surrey. Ms. Patty Kiloh is the school's current principal. As of 2007, there were 296 students enrolled at Watson Elementary.

Many events take place throughout the school year at Watson. It usually starts off with the Year Round Running Club. This takes place every Monday and Thursday all throughout the year, in which students, parents and staff who join run around the neighbourhood before school starts. This takes place at 8:00 am (an hour before school starts).

There are Student Council Elections which takes place in late September till early October. Grade 6 and 7 students run for positions if they choose to. These positions are the president, vice president, secretary, editor, social secretary, boys sports rep, girls sports rep and treasurer. Grade 4-7 vote on the candidate they think is most likely to do the best job fulfilling the position they run for.

They have an annual Christmas Concert in December before winter holidays. Primary classes sing Christmas songs before a large musical, where intermediate classes sing and act out a play. Grade 7 students act out the play, and grade 4-6 sing and dance to songs throughout the musical.

The annual spaghetti night talent show is also a big event. Family and friends from around the neighborhood come and eat spaghetti at the school, get to watch and hear the wonderful talents brought to you by the students and can bid on lovely baskets that each class puts together. There are many prizes to be won there.

Other events such as multicultural week, holiday ceremonies, and many other events happen during the school year.

William Watson has great sports teams every year, from cross country to track and field! Sports such as cross country, volleyball, basketball, track and field, soccer, tennis, swimming, hockey, skating and many other sports are big at William Watson. Running is one of the biggest though because they are the only elementary school in Surrey that has a track.
