Buffalopox is a disease of water buffalo caused by a virus of the family "Poxviridae" and the genus "Orthopoxvirus". It causes pustule formation on the teats and udders. Humans that come in contact with the lesions can themselves develop lesions on the face and hands. The disease is seen in Egypt and India.cite book|author=Fenner, Frank J.; Gibbs, E.
