Glenn Patrick Sherlock (Born:
September 26 ,1960 ,Nahant, Massachusetts ) is the bullpen coach of baseball'sArizona Diamondbacks . Glenn is in his 24th year in professional baseball and he's the only member of Arizona's original coaching staff that has been on board since the outset in1998 . He is in the second year of his second stint as the bullpen coach, a position where he spent his first 5 seasons. Sherlock replacedBob Melvin as the bench coach in2003 , when Melvin took the managerial role in Seattle. Glenn started the2004 season as the first base coach, but took over on the third base line afterAl Pedrique was named manager. A longtime Yankee, Glenn was catching instructor in the Bronx twice, working in the bullpen in1992 , then once again in1994 and1995 . He was employed for 10 seasons in the Yankee chain either as a minor league player, coach or manager. He was originally signed by theHouston Astros as their 21st pick in the1983 draft. He managed at Tampa in1990 then led Fort Lauderdale in1991 and was named a coach for the Florida State League All-Star Game. His 3-year minor league managerial record wrapped up at 121-128 (.486) and then he went down under to hone his managerial skills in the winter of1993 , leading the Canberra Bushrangers in the Australian Baseball League.
