The right-hander was signed by theAtlanta Braves as an amateur free agent, (April 1, 1981) and later drafted by theCleveland Indians from the Braves in the 1983 rule V draft. (December 5, 1983) One of only eightScotland natives to ever be a major league ballplayer, he pitched for the Indians from 1984 to 1985, and again in 1987. Sitting out 1986 on the disabled list.The majority of his 113 appearances was as a
relief pitcher , but he did start 9 games.Career highlights include:

*3.1 innings of no-hit shutout relief against theBaltimore Orioles to earn a save (July 28, 1984)
