Baindt Abbey (Kloster or Reichskloster Baindt) was a
Cistercian nunnery inBaindt in the district of Ravensburg inBaden-Württemberg ,Germany .Cistercians

The abbey was destroyed in 1525 in the
Peasants' War and again in 1643 in theThirty Years' War . It was rebuilt and refurbished inBaroque style in the 18th century.Baindt Abbey was dissolved during the secularisation of 1802 and its territory transferred to the Counts of Aspermont-Linden.
The abbey church of Our Lady became the parish church, to which the remains of the founder were transferred in 1842, after demolition of the claustral buildings had begun in 1841.
Franciscans
In 1903 the former gatehouse of the abbey was bought by the
Franciscan sisters of Heiligenbronn.References
