waryfish of the family "Notosudidae ", found in all oceans, at depths of down to 500 m. Its length is between 15 and 25 cm."Scopelosaurus ahlstromi" is a small slender deepwater species with a high first
dorsal fin and anadipose seconddorsal fin . The snout is pointed and the eyes are disproportionately large.Body colour is brilliant silver on the flanks with opalescent belly scales.
