"The Initiation of Sarah" is a "re-imagined" remake of a 1978 horror film, "The Initiation of Sarah". It premiered on ABC Family on October 22, 2006 as part of their "13 Nights of Halloween" special.

Plot

The story follows Sarah Goodwin (Mika Boorem), a young woman with mysterious powers, and her pretty normal sister Lindsey (Summer Glau). As they go off to college and enter sorority life, they find themselves pulled into the middle of a centuries old battle between good and evil.

Rating

The US TV Rating was TV-14DLV. The DVD release has no rating, but contains no extra or unrated material.

Trivia

*Mika Boorem and Summer Glau met on the set of Sleepover where Boorem played "Hannah" and Glau played "Ticket Girl."
*The filming took place on the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, and in various other locations in the Shreveport-Bossier area in the spring of 2006. Many students were cast as extras, despite the filming coinciding with dead and finals week.

DVD Release

The Initiation of Sarah was released on DVD on October 30th, 2007. It is identical to the version released on TV, except the DVD version is widescreen. It has no bonus material.
