Ron Klinger is a leading bridge author, he's also one of the game's most prolific writers with more than 50 books to his name. Ron is an Australian Grand Master and a World Bridge Federation International Master. He was born on
November 8 ,1941 inShanghai ,China and has been a bridge teacher, respected international player, and author for decades.Ron Klinger has lived in Sydney, Australia since 1946. He put a successful career in law aside to pursue Bridge as a professional player and teacher. Ron has achieved success in bridge tournaments both nationally and internationally and is renowned worldwide for his expertise in both playing and teaching the game.
Ron’s Bridge Success
Without a doubt Ron Klinger is a keen bridge player, but when he's not playing or teaching he writes a daily bridge column for the
Sydney Morning Herald and a weekly column forThe Sun-Herald . Ron has played for Australia in the Bridge World Championships in 1976, 1978, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1989, 1993, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Ron also won the Pacific-Asian Open Teams in 1970 and has won the Pacific Asian Open Pairs twice. In the 1976 World Open Teams Olympiad Ron won the Bols Brilliancy Prize for best play.Ron Klinger’s Website

His long career as a bridge teacher has seen him teach players of all levels of experience and he welcomes anyone with an interest in bridge and a desire to improve their game.
Ron continues to post reference articles, quizzes, and problems each day on his site. They include text taken directly from his own published books, as well as content created specifically for the website.
In response to requests from his fans, Ron re-launched his website in September, 2008 to make it easier for them to use and help them learn more quickly.
Ron also operates an online store from his website, where people can buy his books and DVDs - despite the additional work the website involves, Ron is still actively continuing to write.
Ron Klinger - The Author
Ron was editor of Australian Bridge for thirteen years since 1972, making it one of world's leading bridge magazines. He was also the bridge columnist for the Australian Women's Weekly and later, The Daily Telegraph and The Weekend Australian. He is currently the bridge columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald and has a regular column in Australian Bridge magazine. He was also a regular contributor to Britain's Bridge Plus magazine.
