Larchmont Yacht Club

Larchmont Yacht Club, located in Larchmont, New York, is one of the most prestigious yacht clubs in the United States. Founded in 1880, The Club was originally housed in a small church overlooking Horseshoe Harbor in Larchmont's Manor Park. Founders Frank L. Anthony, Fred W. Flint, William C. France, Loring Lothrop and Charles E. Jenkins quickly amassed a large membership and the Club changed locations in 1881, 1884 and finally settled in its current location in 1887 overlooking Larchmont Harbor. Starting in 1888, the club has hosted the Larchmont Race Week every year in July, featuring nine days of racing for over a thousand sailors competing in offshore classes, one designs and junior sailboats. In addition to Race Week, Larchmont also hosts numerous dinghy and keelboat regattas each year. Larchmont is home to several competitive one design racing fleets including Etchells, Shields, S-Boats, International One Designs, Ideal-18s and Vanguard 15s as well as cruising boats. Larchmont also has an extensive junior sailing program and is host to the Mamaroneck High School high school sailing program as well as a college sailing regatta.

It also hosts the Rye Country Day School sailing team
