Cyrollan

Cyrollan

The Cyrollans are a fictional race of sentient extraterrestrial beings from The Journeyman Project series of computer games.

Biology

Cyrollans are humanoid and roughly the same size as humans. The Cyrollans have stated that they wish humans to learn the reasons for this on their own. Cyrollans are telepathic and can sense temporal shifts. These beings are capable of living for three to five thousand years. Cyrol, the fifth planet of the Galenna system, is their homeworld. [. Cyrollans and humans are physically rather similar, but Cyrollans and another race of aliens called the Quol'tholos proved to be nearly identical. Interestingly, ancient inscriptions left on Earth by a third alien species, the Sosiqui, described the Cyrollans and Quol'tholos as "brothers" and "twin eagles." []

History

Cyrollans are the oldest members of the Symbiotry of Peaceful Beings.

The Cyrollans contacted Earth in 2308 A.D. to invite humanity to join the Symbiotry, giving a decade for the decision to be made. Humanity accepted and became the newest member in 2318. Gage Blackwood, Agent 5 of the Temporal Security Agency (TSA) managed to stop Elliot Sinclair, the inventor of time travel, from assassinating the Cyrollan ambassador who came to Earth as a welcoming gesture. Humans and Cyrollans developed a close bond of friendship. [The Journeyman Project]

This friendship was demonstrated during Symbiotry technology discussions in 2329. Cyrollans were among those who supported the right of humanity to retain sole control over time travel technology. Tensions arose between humans and Cyrollans later in 2329, when Temporal Security Agents 3 and 5, Michelle Visard and Gage Blackwood, discovered that the Cyrollans and an alien race known as the Qou'thalas had battled each other upon Earth in ancient times. These battles were for an artifact left upon Earth by another alien race, the Sosiqui. The Cyrollans and Qou'thalas, over centuries, found the locations of these artifacts, and battled each other to obtain them. The artifacts were located in the cities of Atlantis, El Dorado, and Shangri-La, each of which was destroyed as collateral damage in the war between the Cyrollans and Qou'thalas. History was threatening to repeat itself in 2329, as the Qou'thalas were advancing upon Earth for another search for the artifact.

Ambassador Jhessela of Cyrol acted quickly to restore relations with humans, fully admitting to this dark secret of Cyrol's past and offering assistance to the human Temporal Security Agency in locating the Sosiqui artifact. She provided a symbol like a butterfly grasping three pyramids, that the Cyrollans believed the artifact would be marked with. Her quick actions repaired the friendship of Cyrollans and humans.

Cyrollans were on hand to defend Earth against the Qou'thalas attack, even teleporting into TSA headquarters to fight off Qou'thalas intruders. Thanks to Ambassador Jhessela's assistance and the efforts of Gage Blackwood, humanity retained the Legacy and a peace agreement was made between the Qou'thalas and the Symbiotry. []
