In Hiza guruma there is usually an "
kuzushi " pulling "uke" sideways and/or forward in a wind.By blocking "uke's" leg at the knee with the foot,"tori" prevents "uke" from stepping forward and regaining balance.Thus, "uke" tips over his blocked leg.Exemplar Videos:
