11 May 1989 , the station has two platforms. The first Yate station opened on the8 July 1844 and closed on4 January 1965 .In the
Strategic Rail Authority ’s 2005/06 financial year, Yate was ranked as the 1130th most-used station in the UK.The station has a supervisor from 7 am to 11 am on weekdays who provides daily and weekly single and return fares. For tickets lasting longer than a week purchase must be made at Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, Gloucester or Cheltenham Spa.
Services
The station is served Monday to Friday by a train every hour in both directions to/from Gloucester and Westbury (with 2-hourly extensions to/from Worcester & Great Malvern, and to/from Portsmouth & Weymouth).
