George J. Hochbrueckner

George Joseph Hochbrueckner (born September 20, 1938) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from New York.

Hochbrueckner was born in Queens, New York. From 1956 until 1959 he was in the United States Navy. He attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Hofstra University, Franklin Pierce College and California State University, Northridge. From 1975 until 1984 he was in the New York State Assembly. He was elected to Congress in 1986 and represented New York's 1st congressional district from January 3, 1987 until January 3, 1995. He lost his seat to Michael P. Forbes during the Republican Revolution of 1994.
