Notable_instruments =The Prime Movers were a
blues band based in theDetroit area, formed in 1965.Robert Vinopal left soon after the band's formation and was replaced byJack Dawson .James Osterberg , who would later be known asIggy Pop , took over the drums not long after. The band was renowned for being very dedicated to the blues and often went down toChicago to watch blues musicians play. Iggy left the band in early 1967 and was replaced byJ.C. Crawford . During their career, they made numerous recordings, but they never released an album. The band disbanded in 1970 and the members went their separate ways.External links
