Harry Haslam (born
Manchester July 30 ,1921 , diedSeptember 10 ,1986 ) was an English footballer and manager.Haslam played for Rochdale as an amateur, Oldham Athletic (1946-1947), Brighton & Hove Albion (1947-1948) and Leyton Orient (1948-1949), making nine league appearances as a full-back.
He managed Eastbourne United, Tonbridge, Luton Town and Sheffield United. He is credited with having discovered the prolific centre-forward
Malcolm Macdonald at Tonbridge, even though it was actuallyBobby Robson who really discovered MacDonald during his very short stint managing Fulham, prior to MacDonald's move to LutonHis son
Keith Haslam is the current Chief executive of Mansfield Town.He died in September 1986 at the age of 65.
