The Republic of Ireland is divided into two EU regions. These figures have been taken from the Regional GDP section of the CSO (Central Statistics Office) [http://www.cso.ie/releasespublications/documents/economy/current/regincome.pdf Regional GDP (2002)]

#Southern and Eastern (population 2.9million}
#*Southern and Eastern (including the following cities Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford) GDP (93,973 billion euro)
#Border, Midland and Western region (population 1.038 million)
#*Border, Midland and Western region (including Galway City) GDP (21,081 billion euro)Total Irish GDP = 115,054
