Yosef Mishlav

Aluf (Major General) Yusef Mishlab (born 1952) is a former Israeli Druze general in the Israel Defense Forces, known for being the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories until September 2008. He joined the IDF in November 1970, and among other posts, served as Deputy Commander of IDF Forces in Lebanon. During this time he attended various IDF officer courses, and received an B.A. in Political Science from Haifa University. In 2001 Mishlab was appointed the head of the Israeli Home Front Command. Two years later, in July 2003, he was promoted to his final position of coordinator.
