Cees Jan Diepeveen (born
July 24 ,1956 inAmsterdam ,Noord-Holland ) is a formerfield hockey player fromThe Netherlands , who participated in threeSummer Olympics : in Los Angeles (1984), in Seoul (1988) and finally in Barcelona (1992). In 1988 he won the bronze medal inSouth Korea , after defeatingAustralia (2-1) in the Bronze Medal Game.The defender and midfielder earned a total number of 286 caps, scoring sixteen goals, in the years 1978-1992. Diepeveen was surpassed as a record holder in 1998 by
Jacques Brinkman . He retired from international competition after finishing fourth at the1992 Summer Olympics inBarcelona, Spain . Later on he was the head coach for a short period of time of the women's team fromHC Bloemendaal , the club he himself used to play.External links
