Walton Street is a street in central
Oxford ,England , located in the heart of the area known as Jericho.The street runs north from the western end of
Beaumont Street where the main entrance of Worcester College is located. To the west of Walton Street is the area known as Jericho. TheOxford University Press ,St Sepulchre's Cemetery and Ruskin College are located off the street to the west.Little Clarendon Street , a shopping street, adjoins Walton Street to the east. There are many restaurants on Walton Street, often used byOxford University students because of its central position, such as Branca,Loch Fyne, The Jericho Cafe, Jamals, Posh Fish, and Brasserie Blanc. Another restaurant is The Standard Tandoori known for the "best vindaloo in Oxford". Oxford's main independent 'art house' cinema 'The Phoenix' is on the west side of the street. A number of trendy cocktail bars and pubs can be found on Walton Street.A popular pastime of Oxford students is to take a drink in each of the hallowed drinking establishments from south to north: Sugar Brown, Raoul's, Jude the Obscure, The Jericho Tavern, the Picture house bar, Jamals, Sip, and the Victoria Pub. This is commonly referred to as 'Route 68'. To the north, the street continues as Kingston Road through
