Tomochi, Kumamoto

Tomochi (砥用町; -machi) was a town located in Shimomashiki District, Kumamoto, Japan. On November 1, 2004 the town merged with the town of Chuo forming the town of Misato and no longer exists as an independent municipality.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 7,409 and the density of 72.41 persons per km². The total area was 102.32 km².
