Arda Ocal (born May 7, 1981 in North York,
Ontario ) is a TurkishCanadian TV and radio broadcaster and writer. He is currently a co-host of the daily flagship programDaytime (TV series) on the Canadian channelRogers Television inMississauga, Ontario .Previously, he served as editor-in-chief for "Think Impact" (a division of Impact, Canada's largest entrepreneurial organization).
His publication credits include work for "
Toronto Sun ", "The Globe and Mail " and "Imprint". He spent three years hosting a variety show on CKMS inWaterloo, Ontario , and released "Warrior Nation", a compilation disc of theUniversity of Waterloo 's best musical talents, which sold over 4000 copies.As a child growing up in North York and Oakville, he was exposed greatly to Turkish culture through his mother and father. He spent much of his teenage years as an extra in commercials, until he decided to pursue broadcasting.
In his spare time he serves as a member of the board of directors at a well known charity in Brampton, and co-owns
Blood sweat and ears , where he also performs ring announcing and backstage interviewing.
