Guy Novès (born
5 February 1954 ) is a former Frenchrugby union footballer and current long-serving coach ofStade Toulousain . Born inToulouse , Novès, who played on the wing, was capped six times for the France national team. He played withStade Toulousain from 1975 to 1987 and was a member of the team that won theBouclier de Brennus in 1985 and 1986.Novès returned to Stade Toulousain as head coach in 1993. During his tenure as coach, Toulouse have won the French championship seven times, the
