Zarai Taraqiati Bank

The Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) is located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It provides development aid to the farming industry in Pakistan. It was also known as Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP).

About

Ztbl current President is Muhammad Zaka Ashraf, he took his charge after resignation of Mansur Khan [http://www.thenews.com.pk/top_story_detail.asp?Id=16152] It is the premier financial institution geared towards the development of the agricultural sector through the provision of financial services and technical know-how.

Public Limited Company

The restructuring of the former ADBP is being carried out with the aim to uplift the agriculture and rural sector by raising farm productivity, streamlining the institutional credit and increasing the income generating capacity of the farming community. ZTBL was incorporated as a public limited company on 14 December, 2002 through repeal of "ADB Ordinance" of 1961.

The new corporate structure redefines the bank's status as a public limited company registered under companies Ordinance'1984 with an independent Board of Directors which aims at ensuring good governance, autonomy, delivering high quality.
