Captain Chaos is a solo a musical side-project consisting of Chris Johnston (a.k.a. Chris Clavin) from Ghost Mice (and formerly , among other bands). Occasionally Clavin utilizes his friends "Colorblind" Joe or McKayla for help. He plays mostly acoustic guitar but sometimes with bass and melodica. He has toured the US West Coast and Midwest multiple times.

Box Set

All 6 albums are available in a hand-crafted wooden box set with hand-made art and a bonus disc of cover songs, available through Crafty Records. 51 of these have been made. The first 25 were made out of recycled 99 year old barn wood. The second 26 were made out of recycled 1960 canadian crate wood. The box set became officially available as of April 5th, 2007. The Box set is now out of print.
