Instrument Physical Modeling Group

The Instrument Physical Modeling Group (IPMG) of the Space Telescope European Coordinating Facility (ST-ECF) develops astronomical instruments and physical models of their operation. The Group is part of the ST-ECF Instrument Science group and has been working on different projects, including the FOS Post Operational Archives and User Support and on calibration instruments, including the STIS Spectrograph calibration enhancement project. The STIS Spectrograph was one of the original 4 axial instruments on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), and has been in operation since 1997.
