Farm to Market Road 603 or FM 603 is a road that runs from Interstate 20 to State Highway 36 in rural Callahan County, Texas.

History

FM 603 was originally designated in 1945, and was designated only from Eula to then U.S. Highway 80, a distance of 4.8 miles. In 1951, Highway 80 moved a mile to the north, and FM 18 was designated as the northern terminus. At the same time, FM 603 was extended south to State Highway 36 in the south, giving it a total length of 10.6 miles. In 1961, it was extended an additional half-mile to the north, to the then-current location of Highway 80, which was later redesignated as Interstate 20.

FM 603 begins at Interstate 20 between Clyde and Abilene, and proceeds directly south, crossing FM 18 a mile later, then running slightly over ten miles south, passing through Eula, Texas on its way to State Highway 36.
