Women's Technology Cluster

The Women's Technology Cluster or WTC is a "not-for-profit" business incubator dedicated to women leaders building technology-driven businesses. The incubator assists entrepreneurs within the information technology, clean technology, and Life Science sectors.

Based in San Francisco, California, U.S., the WTC was founded as part of the Three Guineas Fund in 1999, by Cate Muther, former CMO of Cisco Systems, and was spun off in 2003 as an independent non-profit.

Mission

The WTC's mission is to increase the number of successful companies and to leverage their influence. Through a dedicated community of more than 150 proven CEOs, investors, and industry experts, the WTC provides extensive advisory services, coaching, and access to business and capital networks.

Program

In support of its mission, the WTC also develops National and International programs including:- The Annual Entrepreneur Venture Conference for women-led, technology-driven companies to help entrepreneurs secure Venture Capital and angel funding
- International Stem Cell Symposium on Collaboration and Commercialization to promote the creation of the industry
- The Annual Angel investor Colloquium to help women gain the financial literacy to participate as Angel investors
- Annual Awards for Venture Capital Investment in Women to recognize investment in women

Highlighted speakers have included:
Mitchell Kapor; Audrey MacLean; Roger Pedersen from the University of Cambridge; Zach Hall, California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Stewart Alsop; excutives from Google, Microsoft, BEA Systems, Netscape Communications, SAP AG and many other prominent Silicon Valley companies; Priya Mathur, CalPERS; Mayor Gavin Newsom; Hillary Clinton; and other prominent figures.
