Palluruthy

Palluruthy is one of the earlier panchayats of Kerala that was amalgamated with other panchayats during the formation of Kochi corporation. The region is famous for its temples and lotus ponds. Palluruthy comprises of the regions Thoppumpady, Perumpadappu, Edakochi, Kumbalanghi and Mundamveli.

Name

Palluruthy is actually came from the Portuguese word "Pallurt".

Palluruthy is also famous for banyan trees and maidans.
