Brentside High School is a co-educational Specialist Arts College for pupils aged 11-19. The current school building which opened in September 2004, was purpose built and designed by architects Seymour Harris. History

Uniform

The uniform at Brentside is designed to be practical and present a smart image, it consists of the following mandatory items:

*Plain Black tailored trousers, or instead girls may wear a black, knee-length skirt; A Lined Skirt
*Black blazer with Brentside badge affixed
*Plain white shirt (not a polo shirt) and Brentside tie.
*During colder weather a plain black V-Neck pullover may be worn if required.
*Black Shoes (heel not more than 2.5 cm/1 inch)

Students are also not allowed to wear hooded tops, caps or anything that may hide a face. These will be confiscated if worn in the school building.

Location

The school is located on the Greenford Road, Hanwell W7 in West London. There are 2 bus-stops next to the site which include the E1, E2, E3, E5, E7, E9, E10 & E11. From these buses, one-stop will take you to Greenford where other buses such as the 95 and 105 are accessible and from Brentside you can get to all bordering areas, some of these are:
*West Ealing
*Ealing Broadway
*Ealing Common
*Park Royal & Perivale
*Hanwell
*Greenford
*Hounslow & Brentford
*Ruislip
*Hammersmith

The School is also located next to many primary schools in the Hanwell area, such as Brentside Primary School (which it is often twinned with), Mayfield Primary School and Hobbayne Primary School.

BBC School News Report

Brentside High School in the winter/spring of 2006/07 participated in the BBC School News Report where some year 8 Students got to write, publish and broadcast their own news stories about current events happening in the country. It was a success and Brentside High School is currently being kept posted about upcoming events from the BBC and its partners.
