Baskett was the University of New Mexico's leading receiver in 2004 and 2005, as he earned All-
Mountain West Conference honors as a senior, posting 67 receptions for 1,071 yds. and nine touchdowns. A four-time all-academic MWC honoree, he graduated with a degree in General Management.Professional career
He originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a rookie

With the departure of
Todd Pinkston in training camp, Baskett had an opportunity for increased playing time. He had key games against theDallas Cowboys (112 receiving yards and one touchdown) and theAtlanta Falcons (177 receiving yards and one touchdown). For his performance in these games, Baskett was awarded rookie of the week honors. He completed his rookie season with 22 receptions for 464 yards (21.1 yards per catch) and two touchdowns.He only managed 16 receptions for the Eagles during the 2007 season. He was however named the special teams MVP.
