Action-RPG published byAtlus for theSega Saturn video game system in 1997.The game is a
side-scroller with amedieval setting, and features real-time combat. It is possible to learn certain moves or button combinations which perform special attacks. As with many RPGs,experience point s, money, and various items are obtained by defeating enemies.Princess Crown begins with a little girl and her grandmother. The girl picks up a book and her grandmother starts reading the story of Princess Gradriel. The player then takes on the role of Gradriel throughout her adventure. After completing the story of Princess Gradriel, more books become available, which allow playing as other characters.
Legacy
The game was ported to
Sony 's handheld platform, thePlayStation Portable in 2005. Featuring little to no enhancements the game was a cheap buy for those who missed the game the first time around, or didn't want to spend $100 or more on theSega Saturn originalFact|date=August 2008. Neither Saturn nor PlayStation Portable versions were published outside ofJapan . This game also spawned what many consider a spiritual sequelFact|date=August 2008, "Odin Sphere ", made by the same director, published by the same company, and featuring many similarities to "Princess Crown".External links
