- Baron Latymer
Baron Latymer is a title in the
Peerage of England . It was created by writ in 1432 when George Nevill was summoned to Parliament. He was the fifth son ofRalph de Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland . Lord Latymer's great-grandson, the third Baron, married as his third wifeCatherine Parr , who later became the wife of King Henry VIII. He was succeeded by his son from his second marriage, the fourth Baron. On the latter's death in 1577 the title fell intoabeyance between his four daughters.It remained in abeyance until 1913, when the abeyance was terminated in favour of Francis Money-Coutts, who became the fifth Baron. He was the only son of Reverend James Drummond Money and his wife Clara Maria Burdett, fourth daughter of
Sir Francis Burdett, 5th Baronet , and claimed the peerage as a descendant of Frances, eldest daughter of Hon. Lucy, third daughter of the fourth Baron Latymer. As of 2007 the title is held by the fifth Baron's great-great-grandson, the ninth Baron, who succeeded his father in 2003.Barons Latymer (1432)
