Federico Jose Pagura was a Bishop of the United Methodist Church, elected in 1969. Prior and subsequent to his election to the Episcopacy he was a teacher at a seminary in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Federico was elected Bishop at the final session of the Latin America Central Conference of the U.M. Church. At that session this Central Conference dissolved, most of the churches and Annual Conferences thereof joining autonomous Methodist churches in their respective nations. A fragment of the U.M. Church remained, represented by the work of this denomination in Costa Rica and Panama. Bishop Pagura was assigned to this work. However, shortly thereafter even these churches and conferences were folded into United Churches in their respective nations.

Bishop Pagura, therefore, remained a U.M. Bishop for a very brief time. Returning to seminary teaching, he was later elected Bishop of The Methodist Church of Argentina. In his later life, he was elected co-president of the World Council of Churches and retained the title of Methodist Bishop Emeritus.cite web | url=http://www.wfn.org/2003/08/msg00245.html | title=Argentine Congress lauds Bishop Pagura | publisher=ALC News Service Noticias 18 Aug 2003]

In 2003, the Argentine Congress included Bishop Pagura in their list of "Most Noteworthy" of the country.
