Heng is a letter of the
Latin alphabet , derived fromh combined with something similar toEng .It was used word-finally in early transcriptions of
Mayan languages , where it may have represented an uvular fricative.It is sometimes used to write Judeo-Tat.
It has been occasionally used by
phonologist s to represent a hypotheticalphoneme in English, which includes both IPA| [h] and IPA| [ŋ] as itsallophone s.
